Benevento Russo Duo | 08.31.07 MP3’s & PICS

Last Thursday “The Duo” came on at roughly 5pm to a sparse crowd in downtown Buffalo. I was expecting a bigger crowd for these guys considering how well Buffalo has received the other jam bands that have played this summer. As time went on The Square slowly filled in.

The Duo seemed to enjoy themselves regardless and put on a rocking set that they closed with an improvisational cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”

Matisyahu | Live Soundboard MP3’s 12.25.04

matisyahu2.jpg

To grab this entire set in MP3 format click here.

I’ve been listening to Matisyahu for the past couple of years after first hearing them on Sirius Satellite radio. These guys have been on tour now for a couple of years and have played a lot of great festivals including Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits Music Festival. I had a chance to see them last year and Lollapalooza and the killed it for about 60,000 people.

I just stumbled upon this awesome sound board recording on the Archive of them playing back in 2004. This is a must have if you dig reggae/roots/jam music. Matisyahu is currently wrapping up their summer tour and will be playing Farm Aid this weekend in NY.
