Langerado has given us a great preview of what the festival season will look and sound like this coming summer. The tapers have been busy uploading the goods to various sites. I will continue to update this post over the next few weeks so be sure to check back daily for updates.

A friend of mine who came back to NY sunburnt and peeling said the highlights of his weekend were Beastie Boys and Les Claypool shows that he was back stage for. enjoy!

RAQ Live @ Club 115 | SBD 12.08.2007

I can barely contain my excitement for this rare find of a sound board matrix of the heavy jam band greats from Vermont.

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys jam last fall and they are one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.

What makes this recording so great is that RAQ currently does not have a live album out and their studio albums while very good in their own right don’t even come close to capturing the energy that pours out of these guys when they are on stage.

I will have more coverage of RAQ at end of the month when they come through Buffalo. To find out when these guys are jamming in a town near you check out the bands official website.

Club Infinity Buffalo, NY

Last night was awesome. Another great night for music in Buffalo, NY. We went and saw RAQ perform at Club Infinity and were treated to two killer sets. It’s amazing how much better live music is as compared to just listening to over the radio or downloading a few songs. I was blown away at their ability to include heavy guitar riffs with improvisational jams.

I was able to video tape most of the fist set but I forgot my 2nd battery and wasn’t able to get any of the 2nd set which is a shame because the 2nd second was amazing.

I spoke with lead guitarist/vocalist Chris Michetti after the show and he said the band will soon be releasing a live album of their performance earlier this year at the famed Mr. Smalls theater in Pittsburgh, PA.

Here’s a few pics from the show. I took these with my iPhone so the quality isn’t the best.

I had the pleasure of seeing RAQ at Mountain Jam this year and I was blown away by their high energy improvisational jams.

I just found this soundboard recording of the bands show at the Bowlery Ballroom earlier this year at the Archive. Check out this full review and pics of the bands show over at Glide Magazine’s Hidden Track web page.
